How Risk Managers May Go Wrong?

My previous post raises a question – What went wrong?

Will not a business like Chivas have well documented procedures for product changeover? Would the workers not have been trained? Periodical process audits would not have been done?

If the answer to all these questions is a ‘yes’, then what is the import of this to Risk Managers of the business (even if they are not so designated)?

To me it is the need for constant and at times imaginative ‘engagement’ – beyond documentation, training & audit. This TED video by Ernesto Sirolli hilariously brings home the point.
